Having looked last week at France’s Best Ski Chalet we now take a look at some of the nominees for the prestigious award of Switzerland’s Best Ski Chalet.

This category of Switzerland’s Best Ski Chalet 2016 has 15 nominees and we take a look at 4 of those featured (chosen without preference).

Chalet Grace in Zermatt

This stunning luxury ski chalet is located in the exclusive petite Village area of the traffic free resort of Zermatt. Being only a two minute electric taxi ride (the only transport allowed within the resort) from the Sunnegga Express ski lift and three minutes from the village centre makes Chalet Grace a much sought after ski holiday chalet.

The jaw dropping Truffle Blanche luxury chalet in the resort of Verbier certainly has the wow factor, which makes it a strong contender for this award. Located in one of Verbiers most exclusive areas and only a 10 minute stroll into the village centre it has everything you could want for in a ski chalet with 3000m2 of living space, sleeping up to 18 people in 9 fabulous individually designed suites.

The living areas of this stunning chalet are elegant and refined with endless entertaining areas to impress your guests. You could take an aperitif at the cocktail bar, or enjoy champagne in the drawing room before being seated for dinner in the large formal dining room. The views from this luxury ski chalet in Zermatt will leave you breathless and never wanting to leave this peaceful haven. Les Anges sleeps 14 people over 7 en-suite bedrooms, spread over three floors and offering 700m2 of living space it is easy to see why we find the chalet nominated for an award.

This spectacular ski chalet was completed in 2014 and can be found in the Sonalon area of Verbier. Chalet Sirocco sleeps 8 people across four luxury en-suite bedrooms and boasts all the facilities you’d expect and more. Spread over 4 floors and perched high on the side of a mountain this chalet offers spacious living and incredible panoramic views.

The living areas of this chalet provide a bright open space to relax and take in the breathtaking views provided by the floor to ceiling windows. Step out from here on to the large wrap around terrace and further enjoy the exceptional views from the fur covered outside seating. Once the sun goes down and there’s a chill in the air return inside to the fire for a cosy glass of champagne.

The ground floor of Chalet Sirocco is where you’ll find the spa facilities and entertainment room. The swimming pool with waterfall is the main feature of this area, though we love the hot tub and large comfy loungers. There is also a Hammam and sauna along with separate treatment rooms to allow you to indulge in treatments in total privacy. Also located on this floor is a cosy cinema room and wine cave. With all these fabulous facilities and incredible views it’s another strong contender for this award.
