Morzine

With an ideal location at the centre of the Portes du Soliel ski area, Morzine has a lot to offer groups of mixed ability. With 650km of ski slopes and an enviable location only an hour from Geneva airport this ski area definitely makes our top 5. The beginners in your group will find wide nursery slopes and plenty of gentle piste to progress to, the intermediates will find the extensive terrain provides new runs daily and the ability to travel the mountain in search of new challenges and for the expert in the group the infamous steep mogul run the Swiss wall will certainly test your nerve.

There are also plenty of beautiful walking trails in the area and the chance to visit maybe Chatel or Les Gets. For a day of relaxation, the sports complex of Parc des Dereches is well worth a visit with 3 swimming pools, spa and an ice rink or if you’ve more energy and fancy something new why not try the Scandinavian sport of Ski Joering, skiing whilst being pulled along by a horse.

Zermatt

A favourite with the Luxury Chalet Book team, Zermatt has an authentic ski resort feel coupled with mountain views that will leave you breathless. The resort offers skiing year round with an enormous ski terrain and a staggering ski elevation of 3899m, you can even ski to Italy for lunch. Whilst recently visiting the resort, as a non-skier on this occasion, I took a leisurely stroll alongside the piste (about an hour) to reach Restaurant Findlerhof and wow was it worth it! The food was delicious, the staff attentive and friendly and the views unforgettable.

Chamonix

We at Luxury Chalet Book lived in Chamonix for over a year so we certainly know the resort well. The first thing to strike you about Chamonix of course would have to be Mont Blanc, ever present no matter where in the valley you are. The resort has all the buzz and vibrancy of an international town with bars and restaurants for every taste and budget.
