The original Chalet Tomkins was built in 1958 by Sir Edward Tomkins, one of the founding fathers of Méribel. Originally located on an old goat track, which is now Route des Chalets, this is one of the resorts most exclusive addresses. The new chalet was completely rebuilt in 2002 by it’s new owner, Sir Edward’s daughter, but on a much larger scale.
The chalet sleeps up to 12 adults or 14 with children across 6 en-suite bedrooms. The chalet had a full interior refurbishment in the summer of 2014 and provides a comfortable and sociable environment, ideal for larger groups as well as offering just a hint of glamour too!
The main piste into town ‘Doron’ is 2-3 minute’s walk from the chalet, and the piste is accessed just above the fast six-man Adret chairlift linking you into the system without having to go to Chaudanne. During most of the season it is possible to ski directly back to the chalet.
After a hard day’s skiing in Meribel and the expansive Trois Valleés ski domain, unwind in the sauna or let the warm bubbles of the hot tub soothe your muscles whilst drinking in the view with a glass of chilled champagne. For the children or young at heart there is the games room with pool table, large TV and games.
Chalet Tomkins is a fun chalet to stay in, great for 2 or 3 families, as well as being the perfect place to relax in tranquility and comfort after exploring in the heart of Les Trois Valleés ski area.
The chalet is available on a fully staffed basis with food and drink costs extra, or on an all inclusive catered package – please enquire for latest pricing and availability.
