Chalet Indiana is a catered ski chalet located in exclusive ‘Dou du Pont’ area of Meribel. This secluded setting at the end of a private road and at the edge of the forest overlooks the centre of the resort. Undergoing a two-year extension and refurbishment to be completed in the summer of 2025, the chalet will reopen for the 2025/26 ski season.
A large chalet of 284m2, it is spread across four floors and can accommodate up to 12 guests in six bedrooms. The main living area is arranged on the second floor and features a lounge area with fireplace, dining room and a day snug with bar. This space flows out onto a large terrace with outdoor hot tub. The views look out across the resort and ski slopes and up to the Saulire summit at 2,738m.
The six bedrooms are spread throughout the chalet, with three on the first floor, one on the second floor, and two on the top floor. Five of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities whilst one bedroom has a separate private shower room. All the bedrooms can be set up with either double or twin beds, affording maximum flexibility for groups of friends or several families looking to holiday together.
Along with the outdoor hot tub, there is also a sauna and a dedicated cinema room, so there are plenty of facilities to enjoy once back from the ski slopes. There is also the obligatory ski room with heated boot warmers. If driving to Meribel, there are also three exterior car parking spaces available at the chalet.
To access the skiing the in-resort driver service is ready to take you the couple of minutes’ drive to the main lift hub and snow front of La Chaudanne in Meribel Centre. Here you have a choice of ski lifts depending on where you wish to ski each day, either within the Meribel valley or onwards to Courchevel, Val Thorens, or St Martin de Belleville. The ski school meeting points are also at La Chaudanne.
Meribel’s lively resort centre is a 500 metre walk away and offers a wide variety of options for aprés ski or evening entertainment. For any non-skiers there is a large sports centre with swimming pool and ice rink. There are also mountain restaurants easily accessible using the lift network so any non-skiing group members can meet up with the group for lunch with an alpine backdrop.
For larger groups, add the adjoining 2 bedroom fully en-suite Apartment La Neva which has a connecting door into the chalet and benefits from its own kitchen, lounge, dining room and private hot tub! Chalet Indiana + La Neva sleeps 16 and is a fantastic catered chalet option for larger groups or multiple families wanting more space.
