Chalet Les Ours is a an exceptional luxury ski chalet in Val d’Isere and a finalist of the World Ski Awards 2020. Here you are nestled in the middle of pine trees and mountains in the beautiful village of Le Fornet at the top of the resort. The views over the valley and snow-covered mountains are exceptional thanks to the huge bay windows of the grand living rooms.
Les Ours is a combination of two interconnected chalets, Chalet Orca and Chalet Orso, and when rented together the property stretches across four floors, 2 mezzanines and nearly 1,000m2 of living space. Sleeping 20-27 guests there are 10 en-suite bedrooms offering a mix of master suites, twin or double rooms as well as a couple of fantastic family suites / children’s bedrooms.
The living and dining rooms are located on the chalet’s top floors and are truly jaw dropping in their proportions. High ceilings and enormous windows dominate here and let the panoramic views flood in. The large dining table in Chalet Orso can also seat 20 people. The terraces let you enjoy the afternoon sun and the cosy interiors are refined and elegant. Mezzanine floors above are decked out with plenty of toys and games for evening entertainment.
On the lower levels you will get to enjoy not one but two private spas. That means 2 of everything including swimming pools, Jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms and gyms. Add in a Bain Nordique on the terrace, a further outdoor barrel sauna, and the main wonder will be if you ever make it out onto the ski slopes!
For those heading out onto the slopes of the Espace Killy ski area, the Le Fornet cable car and bottom of the ski slopes are only 150m from the chalet. The centre of Val d’Isere is a 3 minute chauffeured drive away and the driver service is available for 10 hours per day.
The chalet is rented on a fully staffed basis including 2 x chefs, 2 x butlers, housekeeping and 2 x chauffeurs. The chefs will prepare breakfast, afternoon tea and evening dinner menu’s tailored to your preferences. The cost of the food and drink is charged extra in resort.
Chalet Orca and Chalet Orso can also be rented individually for smaller group and family ski holidays.
