Chalet Tuftra Findelbach is a stunning modern luxury chalet in Zermatt completed in March 2020. The property has been designed to maximise the feeling of space and connection to the mountains. Each room enjoys fantastic views and the stairwell is a light atrium filling the chalet with natural sunlight. The chalet is located in Zermatt’s only ski-in ski-out district, Winkelmatten, and which has some excellent restaurants and bars, children’s play areas and shops.
From the chalet it is possible, snow permitting, to ski through a meadow and down to the Klein Matterhorn Express and ski back to the door of the chalet down the Moosweg ski slope. Otherwise, in the morning you can simply take the ski-bus from outside the chalet to the ski lift or walk 100 metres and ski down through the meadow to the ski lift.
This freestanding chalet can sleep up to 14-17 guests and is the perfect choice for large group and family holiday’s in Switzerland. It is one of the best equipped luxury chalets in Zermatt for wellness facilities with an outdoor Jacuzzi, a steam room, sauna, massage room and an Onsen. Adjacent to the wellness area on the lower ground floor is a gym with a wide range of fitness machines and free weights.
The top floor of the chalet is dominated by the stunning open plan living spaces all framed by large picture windows affording wonderful views of the Matterhorn. The comfortable lounge with plentiful sofas and 360 degree fireplace is the perfect space for everyone to come together after their day’s skiing adventures. The dining area with solid oak dining table can accommodate 20 people in one sitting.
The fully fitted kitchen is where you can watch your private chef create fabulous cuisine throughout your stay. To the side of the lounge area is an office area if you need to catch up with work, as well as a dedicated cinema room. To complete this floor there is a kids bunk-room sleeping up to 5 and means the younger members of your party can retire for the evening with the parents not too far away.
Heading downstairs to the main sleeping floor and firstly there are two large en-suite double bedrooms, one with Matterhorn views and the other with views down over a stream. A further two double bedrooms share a bathroom with double showers, with one room also featuring a free-standing bath with Matterhorn views. An additional lounge can also be made up as a double bedroom and which can use a separate shower room and WC.
Downstairs again to the final floor and we have the final two bedrooms. Firstly, a double en-suite room with a bunk bed over it which would suit a couple with young child. Finally, there is a studio with double bed, kitchenette and en-suite shower room. This floor is completed with a fully fitted gym and extensive wellness area with steam room, sauna, Onsen and outdoor hot tub all of which have Matterhorn views.
