Casa San Bernardo is a self-catered chalet located in the heart of Tignes Les Brevieres. It is a great choice for large groups or several families looking to ski holiday together. Sleeping up to 18 guests, the chalet offers seven en-suite bedrooms, along with extensive spa facilities. With the ski slopes and gondola only a 3-minute walk away, this chalet is hard to beat for a ski holiday in Tignes and the Espace Killy ski area.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and 300m2 of floor area, plus there is also an elevator for added convenience. On the ground floor is the entrance hall along with ski lockers and heated boot warmers, along with your private wellness area. After your day’s skiing sink into the stainless steel and glass spa, before enjoying the sensory shower or simply relax in the warmth of the sauna or hammam.
The middle two floors of the chalet are given over to the bedrooms. On the first floor are three double or twin bedrooms, along with a games room which can also double as a meeting & conference room. On the second floor are a further three double or twin bedrooms, as well as a children’s room with three bunk beds and which can accommodate six guests.
Up on the top level are the grand open plan living spaces. Set beneath a beautiful timber roof this floor offers plenty of space for all your group to be together. The lounge area has deep sofas, a wood burning fireplace and extra-large television. The open kitchen with breakfast bar overlooks the dining table which can comfortably seat 16 people.
The décor is full of statement light fittings and artwork that provides the perfect contrast to the traditional construction materials used throughout the chalet. Balconies on the upper three floors offer great views over the village, church, and mountains as well as the home ski slopes and gondola.
The chalet also has a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, along with bicycle storage. If you are driving to resort, there are 2 covered parking spaces included (Belvédère N°38 and 39), and additional outdoor parking is available nearby if needed.
The chalet is just an easy 3-minute walk from the bottom of the ski slopes and the ESF ski school meeting points. The Brevieres gondola connects to the resort of Tignes 1800, where it continues as the Boisses gondola to a height of 2,180m. From here you can ski back down on a choice of red slopes or catch the Aiguille Rouge chairlift further up and from where you can then ski down into Tignes Le Lac.
Once you are in Tignes Le Lac, you have a huge extent of ski slopes that spread either side of the lake that dominates the scenery here. You can head up to the Tignes glacier with ski slopes that extend up to 3,456m in height, or head over to the slopes of Val d’Isere. There is a huge variety of terrain, including some beautiful wide pistes all with a stupendous high mountain backdrop.
In Tignes Les Brevieres there is a small supermarket, ski rental shops, as well as a choice of traditional restaurants and bars. The village architecture is charming and the north facing slopes ensure a long ski season from early December to late April. Tignes Les Brevieres makes a great base for keen skiers looking for good value and quality chalet accommodation in the Espace Killy ski area.
