Arranged across the entire top floor of the building and offering 210m2 of floor area, this penthouse apartment sleeps up to 14 people. The open plan living areas are spread across the front of the property where large windows offer great views out across the ski slopes of Les Gets. The central wood burning fireplace divides the space into a lounge area on one side, and a kitchen and dining area to the other.
The lounge features a huge corner sofa where you can simply curl up, unwind by the fire and chat away late into the evening. The open kitchen with island unit is well appointed for home cooking and overlooks the dining table for convivial evenings in. From here you can step out on the wide balcony and sink into the hot tub and relax with a view over the resort.
The apartment ideally sleeps up to 8 adults and 6 children in the five en-suite bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms feature super-king double beds, the largest of which also features a triple bunk bed. The final room is a wonderful snug / children’s room decked out with a big comfy sofa, widescreen TV, plenty of space to play and a cosy triple bunk bed.
The location in the centre of Les Gets means you can access all this year-round resort has to offer with an easy and flat walk. The Chavannes Express chairlift and Chavannes gondola are a 3-minute walk and this is also where the ski schools meet. From here you can access a beautiful and tree-lined network of ski slopes above Les Gets and which link into Morzine.
A 4-minute walk in the other direction brings you to the Mont Chery gondola which brings you onto the standalone Mont Chery sector of mainly red and black ski slopes. This sector is the place to head to for quieter ski slopes, especially after fresh snowfall. The views across the resort to the mighty Mont Blanc on the horizon are also fantastic.
Les Gets is one of the best family friendly ski resorts in the French Alps and has great ski slopes on which to learn and progress your technique and build your confidence. The resort is also just over an hour from Geneva airport making it the perfect choice for those seeking a shorter transfer time which is especially appealing for those with children.
Off the slopes, it has plenty of activities and amenities to keep the whole family entertained, and its flat resort centre makes it easy for browsing the shops. It is easy to stock up in resort for provisions for all your self-catering needs, as well as local cheeses and meats, and fresh bread and pastries. There is also a great choice of restaurants to choose from if you do not fancy cooking at home in the evenings.
