Chalet Reve de Marmottes is located centrally in Meribel Village and ticks all the boxes for a luxury ski chalet holiday. Situated just 50m from the Golf chairlift, it is easy to be first on the ski slopes each morning. On your return, the blue Lapin piste will bring you back to the same spot after which you can enjoy the spa and entertainment spaces of your self-catered ski chalet.
The chalet is arranged across four levels and 256m2 of floor area. The traditional exterior of timber and stone is complemented by the interior offering a more contemporary nod to chalet architecture and design. The entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor where you can immediately enter the ski room with benches, ski racks and boot warmers. After storing your kit, let’s take the stairs up one floor to the main living spaces.
The first floor is truly the heart of the chalet where all your group and family can come together in the mornings for breakfast, and in the evening, for more leisurely dinners. White walls, numerous windows, beautiful timber ceilings and modern furniture all add to the feeling of space. There are two sitting areas, one with a TV, and furnished with an abundance of deep sofas and a central fireplace.
In the evenings, the bar area will be the spot to head to for an après ski beverage or two. Facing onto both the dining table and lounge spaces, it provides a convivial meeting spot to recount the stories of your day. The adjoining and spacious kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking, and the dining table seats up to 14. Outside, a balcony offers the perfect spot for your morning coffee in the mountain air.
Above the living space is a mezzanine floor with a desk if you need a dedicated home working space whilst away, or a sofa if you fancy curling up with a book away from the rest of the group.
Sleeping up to 14 guests there are five bedrooms spread across the lowest two floors of the chalet. On the ground floor are two double rooms both with an en-suite shower, as well as a family room with double bed, bunk beds, kitchenette and small dining table as well as an en-suite shower and toilet.
On the next level down is a further double bedroom with an en-suite shower. The final bedroom is another family style bedroom with two double beds as well as two single bunk style beds above. Also on this level is a dedicated TV / cinema room as well as a small spa area with whirlpool bathtub and sauna, and a wine cave. Outside there is also a hot tub just waiting for your arrival once the ski slopes have closed.
The chalet also has three independent toilets, separate shower room, and laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. If driving to Meribel, there is also a car parking space.
The chalet is in the charming and compact setting of Meribel Village. This area of Meribel is a great choice for keen skiers as the you can access the ski area without needing to head to the main La Chaudanne lift hub in Meribel Centre. A 50m walk brings you to the Golf chairlift which brings you up into the Altiport area of the Meribel ski slopes, and from where you can head further up into the ski area.
At the end of your ski day the wonderful blue piste called Lapin winds its way through the forest and back down to the centre of Meribel Village. Now your choice is either the brief walk to the Lodge du Village après ski venue, or the even shorter walk back to the chalet.
Meribel Village has a couple of restaurants, small supermarket, bakery and ski rental shop. To access the larger resort centre, the resort ski bus departs regularly from the village centre and operates late into the evening. For groups requiring ski school, the meeting points for this are at the La Chaudanne lift hub and can be accessed using the ski bus which stops right next to this area.
