Apartment Papillon is located in the high-altitude ski resort of Tignes. Tucked away in the quiet Lavachet area of the resort, this magnificent flat is close to all the amenities required for a relaxing ski holiday. Magnificent views across the slopes and ski resort can be enjoyed day and night, and the Trolles piste is only 150m away so you can easily access the extensive Espace Killy ski area.
The apartment is arranged across 200m2 of floor area mainly spread across one floor. The six bedrooms can accommodate up to 12 people. Upon entering the apartment stairs lead directly up to the main floor where there is a landing area with plentiful storage and ski boot heaters. This space then splits in two, one way leads to the living space and the other to the sleeping quarters.
The open plan living room first flows into a large kitchen with island unit and breakfast bar, on to a dining area before the ceiling rises above the striking lounge. This extremely convivial space features large double height picture windows that flood the room with natural light and views across Tignes Lavachet and the ski slopes above.
The lounge features big, squishy sofas onto which you can relax with friends and family in the evenings. The large flat screen TV is perfect for cosy movie nights in. The dining table can easily seat eight people, and there is seating for another four at the adjacent breakfast bar. The kitchen offers plentiful preparation space and the home cook in your group will always feel part of the action.
The other half of the apartment is given over to the bedrooms, with access from either the kitchen or lobby. The master double bedroom has an en-suite with bath, shower and toilet, and a further double bedroom has an en-suite shower. There are two further double bedrooms, a separate family bathroom, separate shower room, and a separate toilet.
Also on the main living floor is a bedroom ideal for children with a TV corner, double bed plus a further double bed on a mezzanine area. The final bedroom is up a further set of stairs and is another double bedroom and it has great views over the resort and mountains.
In the mornings it is just a 150m walk to the Trolles piste and then just a short ski down to the Paquis chairlift. This chairlift will bring you above Tignes Le Lac, to which you can then ski down to, or you can ski directly down to Tignes Val Claret. In Val Claret you can then take the funicular up to the Tignes glacier, or from Tignes Le Lac take the Toviere gondola and ski over to Val d’Isere.
For those needing ski school, the meeting points are located on the main snow front in Tignes Le Lac and you can utilise the “Circuit Tignes 2100” ski bus to easily access this. The ski bus runs on a constant loop connecting Lavachet, Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Val Claret day and night. There is a supermarket in Lavachet for your self-catering provisions, as well as ski shops, bars and restaurants.
