Chamonix in France

Chamonix has really put in the work this summer and the whole valley is now starting to benefit from massive investment. First up is the new mini-funicular that is currently being built at Brevent. The new lift will allow beginner skiers and snowboarders easy access to the Planpraz plateau and the Téléski 2000 poma from the Planpraz gondola station. This new ski-lift, called FUNI 2000, works on the basis of a cabin (gondola style) hoisted onto a chassis that itself circulates on rails or tubes. At a length of 70 metres and a height gain of 37 metres, it is expected that it will transport between 250 to 290 people per hour.
