Chalet Whymper is the perfect chalet for large group ski holidays in Chamonix. Located right in the heart of the resort, the almost endless array of bars, shops and restaurants are right on your doorstep. To access the skiing, the Brévent lift system is only a 250m walk away and you can also ski back to within 250m of the chalet at the end of your skiing day.
The chalet is named after Edward Whymper, a famous British mountaineer and best known for being part of the expedition that climbed the Matterhorn for the first time. Numerous summits and routes in the Chamonix Valley also bear his name.
The property is arranged over four floors and there is also a 100m2 garden for children to play in. The chalet can accommodate up to 22 adults. There are 10 en-suite bedrooms which can all be arranged with either double or twin beds. The two larger bedrooms on the top floor each feature a sofa bed that can be used by an adult or child.
There are 5 bedrooms on the entrance floor, one on the main living floor and the remaining 4 bedrooms across the top floor. All bedrooms feature a flat screen TV with international channels, hairdryer, bath towels and bath products as well as WiFi.
On the lower floor you will find the chalet’s dedicated spa facilities with a relaxation room, sauna and massage room. Outside on the terrace is the hot tub and is the perfect spot to relax after a day’s skiing. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer available, which is especially helpful on family ski holidays.
The open plan living room is located on the first floor. This stylish room features a sitting room centred on a wonderful tiled fireplace, dining room with flexible seating arrangement and breakfast bar. This floor opens out onto a 25m2 terrace and the well-equipped professional kitchen is adjacent to the dining room.
For corporate ski trips the living space can be converted into a meeting and conference suite with seating for up to 30 people. It is possible to provide notepads and pens, large screen television and video projector on request.
The chalet is available on a self-catered basis but it is also possible to add in additional services such as breakfast as well as a chef, butler, and in-resort driver service to create a luxury catered chalet experience – please enquire for further details. Private car parking is also available.
