Chalet Crystal is a ski in ski out chalet in Meribel, located on the prestigious Route des Chalets. This neighbourhood offers direct access onto the blue Doron ski slope and panoramic mountain views across the valley. This exclusive area of Meribel is renowned for its tranquillity and enchanting setting surrounded by trees, whilst remaining close to the shops, restaurants and resort amenities.
The chalet is spread across four floors and 900m2 of floor area all connected by both stairs and an elevator. Accommodating up to 14 guests in 5 en-suite bedrooms the chalet combines modern amenities complemented with classic alpine architecture. The entrance to the chalet is on the top floor, where there is garage parking, and from where you can step down one level to the main living spaces.
The spacious living areas, with central fireplace, sit beneath a high cathedral ceiling and is bathed in natural light thanks to the large bay windows. The semi-open kitchen with a second fireplace overlooks the dining room for convivial evenings, whilst the library offers a cosy nook in which to curl up. In the evenings you can enjoy a movie in the private cinema room, or pre-dinner drinks on the sunny terrace.
The bedrooms are spread between the floors above and below the main living level. On the top floor is a master suite with 2 king-size double bedrooms that are separated by a sliding door. These two rooms have balcony access and share an en-suite with bath, shower and toilet. Conveniently located on this level is also a dedicated office should you need to check in with work whilst away.
On level -2 are three family bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and balcony access. These bedrooms feature a double bedroom plus a separable lounge area with sofa bed suitable for young children. The final bedroom, tucked away to the rear of this level and suitable for guests or staff, is an independent apartment with kitchenette, double bedroom, and en-suite with shower and toilet.
One of the standout features of the chalet is the private spa and wellness facilities that ensures it is a difficult choice to even head to the ski slopes each morning! On the lowest level the spa is equipped with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, cold plunge pool, relaxation area and outdoor hot tub. There are also two dedicated massage rooms for private treatments, a fitness room, and for some added fun, even a golf simulator.
The chalet sits beside the blue Doron piste, from which you can ski down directly to La Chaudanne, the main lift hub in Meribel Centre. From here you have a choice of lifts depending on where you which to ski that day. The Saulire Express will take you over to the slopes of Courchevel, whilst the Tougnette gondola is the place to start if heading towards Val Thorens or St Martin de Belleville.
If spending the day skiing in the Meribel valley, which offers 150km of ski slopes, the Legends chairlift or Rhodos gondola provide access to some lovely slopes on which to start your ski day. Also located at the Chaudanne are the ski school meeting points if any of your group are attending group ski school.
The centre of Meribel is a 4-minute drive from the chalet, and it is also accessible by a downhill walk of around 20-minutes.
Chalet Crystal is available to rent on a fully staffed basis with a chef and housekeeper. The chef will tailor the menus to your group’s personal preferences and will prepare daily breakfasts, afternoon tea and dinner in the comfort of your chalet. The cost of the food and drinks are additional and payable at the end of your stay.
