On the other side of this floor is another balcony that has stunning panoramic views over the resort and up the valley towards Avoriaz. Once back from the ski slopes, slide into the hot tub and watch the clouds roll across the mountain tops with a cold drink in hand.

Sleeping 10-12 guests, there are four bedrooms as well as a cinema room which can be used as a fifth bedroom. The master suite is located on the top floor and has a stunning open-plan bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath. The master suite has two balconies, so you can wake up to glorious mountain views or take in the sunset from your own private and peaceful vantage point.

Also on the top floor are two additional bedrooms both with either a king-size double or twin beds, and en-suite shower rooms. Downstairs, you’ll find the entrance lobby, a cinema room, and a large family bedroom and a separate bathroom. The family bedroom sleeps up to four people and features a king-size double or twin beds, bunk bed, WC and a separate shower room.

The cosy cinema room, which can also be converted to a fifth bedroom by using the two sofa beds, is decked out with a large screen TV, Sonos music system, and PlayStation 5. There is also a ‘starry sky’ LED ceiling, making it the perfect break-out room for older kids and teens wanting their own space. A separate laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is also on this level, and available for guests to use.

The chalet has an underground and lockable double garage with an electric car-charging point. There is a private boot room with heated boot dryer and ski storage for all your mountain equipment.

The Retour des Nants, a blue graded ski slope, runs behind Chalet Joy, so you can navigate off the trail and across a small, sloped field to access the side of the apartment building. Alternatively, and depending on where you want to ski each day, drive into the centre of Morzine and take either the Pleney or Super Morzine gondolas. These lifts provide easy access to ski in Les Gets and Morzine, as well as the high-altitude ski resort of Avoriaz.

There is also an alternative access to the slopes above Morzine. If you follow the Route Des Nants uphill by car for a couple of minutes, you will find the lesser used, du Pre Favre and FYS chairlifts. These lifts give you access to the more demanding pistes at Chamossière and the fun space at the Pointe de Nyon, including the incredible look-out point of Le Pas de L’Aigle.

If you are staying during the winter without a car, we recommend booking the on-call 24-hour resort driver service. A team of drivers are available to take you to the ski lifts, bars, restaurants and around the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets, day and night.

Chalet Joy is available to rent on a self-catered basis in both winter and summer. In the winter ski season, it is possible to add access to a shared 24-hour resort driver service with an additional charge.

For larger groups, Le Tournesol is located next door and can accommodate a further 8 people.
