Chalet Markhor is a modern self-catered ski chalet in St Martin de Belleville. Located in the Villette district of this authentic resort, the nearest ski lift is the Teleski Village, which is a 5-minute walk away. The Téléski will then take you up the mountain a little and from where you can ski down to the St Martin gondola and off into the extensive 3 Valleys ski area.
The chalet is arranged over three floors and 250m2 of living space and can accommodate up to 14 guests in 6 bedrooms. The entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor where there is a ski room with boot warmers plus a garage. There is also a dedicated and extensive spa area with a half sunken wooden hot tub, glass fronted sauna, walk-in shower and relaxation area.
The first of the chalet’s six bedrooms are also on the ground floor with two double and one twin/double all with either an en-suite shower or bath. There is also a dormitory style bedroom with 2 bunk beds offering four full size single beds that children will absolutely adore. The dorm room also has an en-suite shower, and there are two communal toilets on this level.
Heading upstairs to the main living space and the fifth bedroom is also on this level and is a double room with en-suite shower and separate toilet.
The living space is open plan but has two distinctive halves, with the living room on one side and the kitchen and dining room the other. The sitting room has double height ceilings, wood burning fireplace, flat screen TV, an eclectic selection of sofas and pouffes as well as some very trendy lighting. Stepping outside and the extensive terrace has an unbeatable panoramic view onto the mountains.
To the other side and the kitchen is fully equipped with all you need for a self-catered ski holiday in the 3 Valleys. A small breakfast bar has a couple of funky bar stools. The dining table, set beneath more stylish lighting, has a grand setting for private dinner parties and enjoys more excellent mountain views. Upstairs, the final bedroom enjoys the entire floor and is unsurprisingly the master suite.
The centre of the resort is a 550m walk away and the free resort ski bus stops 15m from the chalet. In the centre of the resort there is a small supermarket plus several bars and ski rental shops. For those who prefer to dine out in the evenings, St Martin de Belleville offers a great selection of restaurants to choose from, serving pizza and fondue to Michelin starred fine dining at La Bouitte.
