La Lanterne is a stylish apartment located in the high-altitude ski resort of Tignes. This property is perfect for keen skiers and snowboarders with its ski in ski out location. In the evenings it is just a short walk to the centre of Tignes Le Lac as well as the main snow front and tourist office. The property also features a huge 200m2 terrace on which to enjoy views over the slopes on sunny days.
The apartment is arranged over two floors and 145m2 of floor area. The interior has been fully renovated with a contemporary design and a creative nod to the style of the art deco 1930’s. The open plan living room with lounge, dining area and kitchen is full of natural light from the large picture window. This convivial space is perfect for relaxed nights in when home cooking.
Sleeping up to 10 guests there are four-ensuite bedrooms. On the main level there are three double bedrooms, two with en-suite shower rooms and the other with a lovely en-suite with a sunken bath and shower with great views. The final bedroom is tucked away on the lower level and sleeps 4 in two bunk beds, has an en-suite bathroom and is perfect as a children’s bedroom.
The property has access onto the Combe blue piste and the fast Palafour chairlift located in the resort centre is also only 260m away. From the resort centre you can also access the Toviere Aeroski gondola which will bring you onto the Toviere mountain from where you can ski over to Val d’Isere or down to Tignes Val Claret.
If you require ski school, the French Ski School (ESF) as well as other international ski schools have meeting points in the centre of Tignes Le Lac and next to the Aeroski gondola. There is also an ESF Piou Piou kids club in Tignes Le Lac which offers 3 to 5-year-old children fun and friendly tuition to assist with the process of learning to ski.
Tignes Le Lac also has a great selection of bars and restaurants, including a lively après ski scene. There is also a supermarket as well as bakery and cheese shop, so you can shop locally for all your self-catering supplies. The Le Lagon aqua and well-being centre, as well as a sports centre, are also located in Le Lac, meaning there are plentiful activities to enjoy off the ski slopes.
To access the other high-altitude Tignes villages of Val Claret and Lavachet, there is a very efficient ski bus service that runs 24-hours a day. So, if you fancy ending your day with après ski in Val Claret, or dinner out in Lavachet, it is easy to move around the resort throughout the day and night.
