Chalet 1855 is a luxurious ski chalet located in the exclusive enclave of “Le Bosset” in Val d’Isere. Tucked away on the edge of the forest, the chalet is part of a two-property project and is directly attached to the neighbouring Chalet 1850. The chalet exudes classical alpine architecture with a stone and timber exterior, whilst inside is a perfect marriage of authentic style and modern amenities.
The chalet is arranged over five floors and 315m2 of floor area all connected by both stairs and an elevator. The entrance is on the ground floor, but let’s take the lift straight up to the top floor. Here, the open plan living rooms are bathed in natural light thanks to the double-vaulted ceilings, large floor-to-ceiling windows, and a triple north, west, and south-facing aspect.
This cosy space provides a haven away from the ski slopes where you can simply unwind. The deep sofas will give you a warm embrace after your day’s skiing and the fireplace all adds to the homely ambiance. The wood and stone dining table seats ten and the delightful chandeliers above create a warm glow in the evenings. The fully equipped kitchen with island unit overlooks the dining area.
Sleeping up to 8 adults and 4 children the chalet offers four double bedrooms and a bunk room perfect for children. On the third floor are two double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, plus a further double bedroom with en-suite shower and a separate toilet. The final en-suite double bedroom is located on the second floor.
The children in your group will absolutely love their quad bunk room located on the first floor, which features an en-suite with twin sinks, bath, separate shower, and toilet. This bedroom is accessed from an office / work area next to which there is also a dedicated children’s TV / playroom. Completing the first floor is also a dedicated cinema room with a bar so everyone in the group can catch up with their favourite movie or series.
Once back from the ski slopes, we are sure that you will head directly to the fully equipped spa on the second floor. Take a dip in the indoor swimming pool, before easing weary muscles in the sauna and hammam, before relaxing in the indoor hot tub or pool side on a lounger. For those in need of further relaxation why not organise a massage in the dedicated treatment room.
The chalet also has private laundry facilities, dedicated ski room with heated boot warmers, as well as access to a shared garage with one indoor car parking space. There is also an additional outdoor car parking space available if the group is driving 2 cars to resort.
The centre of Val d’Isere is a flat 13-minute walk away and this ever-popular high altitude ski resort has an exciting bar and restaurant scene. The main snow front and the Bellevarde or Solaise Express gondolas can be accessed with a 4-minute chauffeured drive when you rent the chalet on a catered chalet basis. La Daille is also only a 3-minute drive away, so you can also choose to start your ski day here as well.
