The beautiful Chalet Himalaya, located in the exclusive hamlet of Les Etroits, provides a sumptuous ski in ski out retreat in Val d’Isere. A landmark property dating from the 17^th century, this former monastery has been thoughtfully renovated to cater for the perfect ski holiday.

The mix of original features such as the large fireplace and the impressive stone window seats have been blended with state of the art facilities and ornamental features and touches, inspired by the Far East. The marrying of dark woods, marble, stone, fur and antiques create a sumptuous atmosphere.

The swimming pool is truly special, with a ‘James Bond’ feature! The hidden red marble pools with sophisticated underwater lighting are revealed by a secret moving floor device. Pool depth can be adjusted to suit guest’s requirements, making it ideal for children and the water temperature is maintained at 33 degrees centigrade.

With the swimming pool half indoors and half outdoors, the chalet offers true ‘swimming under the stars’ as well as a wave machine and Jacuzzi facility in the outdoor section of the pool. The pool is available for use at any time indoors and outdoors only up to midnight. For further relaxation, unwind in the sauna made from authentic imported Siberian pine.

The living room is a sumptuous fur-filled space set around a roaring fire for guests to relax with a glass of chilled champagne, traditional mulled wine or any number of cocktails from the classic to the exotic.
