France is the number one ski destination in Europe. Boasting seven of the 10 largest interconnected ski areas in the world, France was the first to really link up its ski resorts and has kept investing in lift improvements season-on-season.

As well as extensive skiing, traditional and modern luxury chalets and a varied range of resorts from picturesque and traditional villages to high altitude and snow-sure, the French Alps deliver.

For those looking to combine endless skiing, world-class resort facilities and luxurious chalets then the ski areas of Les 3 Vallées and Espace Killy are hard to beat, and for many of our client’s, resorts they return to year after year.

The Espace Killy links the contrasting resorts of Val d’Isère and Tignes to create a 300km piste playground. There’s everything from high altitude glacier skiing and abundant off-piste, to tree line slopes into the valley and wonderfully wide runs on which to rack up many kilometres.

These resorts are great options for early and late season snow and feature many of the most beautiful traditional luxury chalets, along with some very opulent chalets too!

Les 3 Vallées is the largest linked ski area in the World with 600km of slopes and 200 ski lifts. The skiing and resorts are spread between 3 huge valleys, with the most famous being Courchevel and its four resorts. Both Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1550offer a more relaxed and affordable base in the valley and are great options for families.

The last of the four resort is Courchevel Le Praz, an authentic and traditional village, but with fast and efficient links into the same great skiing. Le Praz is beautiful when the snow falls, with winding old streets, cosy bars and some excellent restaurants to discover. Nearby is La Tania, which sits between Courchevel and Méribel and is one of the best ski resorts for families and those looking for great value ski in ski out catered chalets.

Méribel sits at the centre of Les 3 Vallées and thus is the best base for those looking to take full advantage of this great ski area.
