Chalet 1850 is a luxurious ski chalet located in an exclusive enclave in Val d’Isere. Tucked away on the edge of the forest, the chalet is part of a two-property project and is directly attached to the neighbouring Chalet 1855. The chalet exudes classical alpine architecture with a stone and timber exterior, whilst inside is a perfect marriage of authentic style and modern amenities.
The chalet is arranged over three floors and 216m2 of floor area. The entrance is on the ground floor, but let’s take the stairs straight up to the top floor. Here, surrounded by mountain views and bathed in natural light from the triple exposure, facing southwest and north, are the open plan living rooms. This striking space provides a haven away from the ski slopes where you can simply unwind.
At the front of this level is the lounge area with squishy sofas where you can simply relax with the warmth of the corner fireplace. A balcony runs across the front of the chalet and is the perfect spot for a morning coffee. The impressive dining table, seating ten, sits adjacent to the open kitchen which is fully equipped for either a professional chef or home cooking if renting on a self-catered basis.
Sleeping up to 8 adults and 4 children there are five bedrooms arranged across the lower two floors. On the first floor is the master double bedroom with en-suite featuring a bath and separate shower. A further double bedroom has a separate shower room and toilet, and the final room on this level is a cosy quad bunk room with en-suite facilities, but no window or natural light.
The final two double bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one with an additional desk area and both have en-suite shower rooms. Four of the bedrooms feature wall mounted flat screen TVs.
The chalet is well equipped for relaxation with a dedicated spa and wellness area on the first floor. Here you can unwind and rejuvenate in the indoor hot tub, glass front sauna, refreshing shower, or simply lay on a lounger and chat about your day.
The chalet also has a dedicated ski room with heated boot warmers, as well as access to a shared garage with one indoor car parking space. There is also an additional outdoor car parking space available if the group is driving 2 cars to resort.
The centre of Val d’Isere is a flat 13-minute walk away and this ever-popular high altitude ski resort has an exciting bar and restaurant scene. The main snow front and the Bellevarde or Solaise Express gondolas can be accessed with a 4-minute chauffeured drive when you rent the chalet on a catered chalet basis. La Daille is also only a 3-minute drive away, so you can also choose to start your ski day here as well.
Chalet 1850 is available to rent on a self-catered basis with or without daily housekeeping, as well as on a bed & breakfast basis.
