Chalet Villa Carolina is a stunning luxury chalet in Selva Val Gardena, located in an equally spectacular setting. This is the perfect chalet for those after an exclusive location for their holidays where you are surrounded by nature and magnificent mountains. The panorama of the Dolomites is laid out before you, from its towering peaks above to verdant valleys below. The chalet sleeps up to 10 guests in five en-suite bedrooms.
The chalet is arranged across three floors all connected an elevator. On the lowest level are the main communal living spaces, with a large lounge area at the centre of this floor. In the evenings you can curl up on the huge sofa in front of the fireplace and enjoy a movie on the big screen. This convivial room also has a pool table and bar with seating area so you can entertain late into the night. There is even a glass walled fitness room too.
Stepping round into the dining room, it is elegantly furnished and mixes stone walls and wood panelling along with contemporary lighting for a very special space in which to enjoy time together. Pre-dinner you can take a seat in an armchair next to the wine wall where there are 50 types of European wine and sparkling wines for sale. The sleek and fully equipped kitchen is tucked away just off the dining room.
Stepping up to the next two levels, and these are occupied with a self-contained apartment on each floor. On the ground floor there are three double bedrooms, along with a living room filled with natural light and mountain views that flood in through the large picture windows. A corner wood burning fireplace adds a traditional feel, whilst a kitchen is hidden behind doors and when opened faces onto the dining table.
This level also provides you access to the property’s private spa facilities. One of the bedrooms has a jack and jill style bathroom which features a sauna that offers a great view from a large window. Heading outside onto the large terrace you can slide into the sunken hot tub with a spectacular view of the Sassolungo mountain, whilst the fire pit will let you toast marshmallows under a starry alpine sky.
Back inside, and up on the first floor there is a further open plan living room with fireplace, corner sofa and floor to ceiling windows. A kitchen and dining table for 4 is perfect for some light dining for any non-skiers, and outside the balcony has seating and a table for alfresco dining. There are a further two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, the other with a separate shower room.
The chalet is a 2-minute drive to the Col Raiser gondola, or it is a 4-minute drive to the Saslong gondola and the World Cup slope, Saslong, which takes you into the Sella Ronda circuit. The Plan da Tieja ski lift and beginner area is a three-minute walk from the chalet, and snow-permitting, it is possible to ski back to here.
In both summer and winter, the chalet is the ideal starting point for numerous walks through meadows and forests, whether in hiking boots or snowshoes. Tucked away in a private location, you are also only a 3-minute drive from the resort centre that has a great selection of shops, bars, and restaurants.
Chalet Villa Carolina is available to rent on a self-catered basis for up to 10 guests and includes daily housekeeping. It is also possible to add in a concierge service, daily return shuttle service to and from the ski lifts, breakfast and chef for dinner service with an additional charge.
The two apartments within the property can also be booked independently on off-peak weeks, and when doing so they share the entertainment and living rooms on the lowest level.
For larger groups requiring additional space and bedrooms, Chalet Alpurio is located next door and can accommodate a further 8-10 guests.
